Behind MILL & GRAIN is a mechanical designer with over two decades of experience in industrial design, mold engineering, and precision manufacturing. Over the years, I've contributed to product development for brands like HIKVISION and JOYSTAR — designing enclosures and structural components that had to perform reliably under real-world conditions, at scale.

So when I built my first Raspberry Pi project and watched it throttle inside a cheap plastic case, something didn't sit right. Plastic bends. Plastic traps heat. And off-the-shelf mass-produced cases are designed to a price point, not a standard.

That's why I started MILL & GRAIN. We don't do mass production. Every case is CNC-milled from a solid block of 6061-T6 aluminum in our Shenzhen workshop, held to tolerances most consumer electronics wouldn't dream of demanding. If a gap is 0.5mm when it should be 0.49mm, it doesn't ship.

We make cases for people who care about silence, thermal performance, and the kind of build quality you can feel when you pick it up. Heavy. Solid. Precise.
